That’s right fringsters, fring has done it again!
ICQ is now available on a fring enabled handset near you.

Lets have a moment of silence to ponder what this means…

You can now take your ICQ, Skype, MSN, GoogleTalk, Twitter and SIP buddies with you, where ever you go, without feeling as if you left them behind. In fact our Italian friends are planning on taking it one step further by shutting down their PC’s for the summer. No need for the PC if you can chat to your buddies directly from your cellphone.

Ok enough pondering, now you can jump up and down shouting ICQ, ICQ, ICQ Yippi

For the newbie’s out there,
ICQ is one of the largest IM (Instant messaging) programs available on the internet and now thanks to our friends at fring, ICQ is now supported on fring.

What? You still here? What are you waiting for? Click Options > Settings > Configure Services, log into your ICQ account and start chatting to your ICQ buddies. If you don’t have fring on your handset yet download it here. Download

Note: “We are currently still working on the display functionality so depending on your handset, you may not yet see your ICQ buddies highlighted on the top of the screen; instead the fring icon will be highlighted to indicate fring or ICQ contacts. Once we resolve this challenge, will update fring and you will see ICQ on your IM toolbar. ”
